Learning Space

Where curiosity meets insight.

Over time, this space will grow into a collection of resources exploring pendulums, energy healing, aura awareness, crystals, remedies, and other topics that support wellbeing and self-discovery.

Whether you are completely new to these ideas or looking to deepen your understanding, I hope this space will offer both practical guidance and thoughtful reflection.

Pendulum work and energy

“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” Albert Einstein

When we think about ‘energy’ on a day-to-day level, we might look at our appliances and vehicles and see what fuel makes them operate. For example, sunlight is captured in a solar panel and transformed to power the central heating of the house. It’s a continuing cycle of one form of energy changing into another. Einstein showed that: "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” We are used to measuring certain types with numbers and ratings but in energy healing work, we tune in more to the information the energy offers.

On a personal level, our thoughts, memories and desires- conscious and unconscious are all sources of information. Pendulum work is a form of dowsing and it is a little like a radar to identify and operate with the information provided. The different pendulums I use at Pendulum Presence interact with the energy identified in specific and unique ways.

Pendulum healing combines age-old wisdom with modern energy practices. Although many people connect the pendulum with ancient traditions such as those of Egypt (as evident in the names of the pendulums), the methods used today have evolved over time through the practice of dowsing, radiesthesia and energy healing.

Pendulums

Note: The photos used in this section are of my actual pendulums and they are very precious to me. Anyone in any profession tends to develop a particular connection with the tools of their trade, and may prefer a particular style, size or material for example. My pendulums are a mixture of crystal, wood or bronze but you can acquire each of these types of pendulums in a variety of colours and materials. In my case, I selected those I felt drawn to and with which I sensed a connection .

Cone Pendulum

The cone pendulum is widely available and is commonly used for dowsing, yes / no questions (more on the importance of questions later!), chakra work and developing intuitive awareness. I think of it as the first contact, the radar and the clarifier. In a session, I use it with a variety of charts to refine the entry point into the need or issue that requires attention, and set a course for the steps I will take during the session.

Isis pendulum

The Isis pendulum is so called due to inspiration of the Egyptian goddess Isis, who was revered for her healing, protection and restorative energy amongst other attributes. It has a series of chambers, the number of which can vary, though generally it is understood that each chamber enhances the energetic qualities of the pendulum. I think of the Isis pendulum as the ‘breath of fresh air through an open window’. I use it to open and close auras and to harmonize the energy field.

Karnak pendulum

The distinctive shape of the Karnak pendulum is inspired by the Temple of Karnak in Ancient Egypt. It is associated with directing, and often re-directing energy in bringing balance and harmony. It supports energetic detoxification and I think of it like a mixture of a powerful vacuum cleaner and power washer combined! It conducts dissolved or released energies out of the system.

In the shape of a teardrop, this pendulum - for me - is the nurturer and carer of all the pendulums. I use it for infusing and bringing fresh energy into the system as part of the healing process.

Osiris pendulum

In Ancient Egypt, the God Osiris was married to Isis, and was associated with the cycle of life, death and rebirth. Complementary to the Isis pendulum, the Osiris pendulum has hemispherical chambers to enhance its qualities. In pendulum work, the use of the Osiris pendulum can be very powerful and needs careful, attentive and skilled use. It supports deep energetic transformation. I think of it as the great ‘recycler’. It shreds and dissolves pathological information stored in energy, making it ready for removal and redirection.

The Aura

We are familiar with the idea of the ‘vibe’ or ‘feeling’ that we get from other people. Just being in their presence, regardless of gestures or words, we can get an impression of whether a person is in a calm state, or tense, or even seething! Of course, some people are ‘easier to read’ than others, and some find it very difficult to ‘read others’ for many reasons. My point is that we are more than just our physical bodies, the words we use and the movements we make. We have our diverse landscapes of feelings, memories, fears and thoughts. Some are temporary, others we carry with us for years. Perhaps, we are influenced by certain people and customs in our culture and social networks. It’s all complicated but that is part of the beauty of being human.

Broadly speaking, I understand ‘aura’ as being that part of ourselves that goes beyond the physical body and it is often the part that first encounters the world around us, or maybe retains the impact of such encounters, be they positive or negative.

In a simple way, I operate with three levels of aura.

Level 1 - The Etheric Level

This is the level of our aura closest to our physical bodies. Here are the imprints of physical touch and it is here where more immediate and short-term effects are experienced. For example, cuts, bruises and burns or skin irritations and bone or muscle problems are often treated at this level.

Level 2 - The Emotional Level

This is the next level further from the physical body. Longer lasting feelings such as fear and anxiety or the impact of chronic physical illness are examples of issues treated at this level.

Level 3 - The Mental Level

This is the furthest level from the physical body. Deeply held beliefs and thought patterns are present here. For example, when people have severe issues with self-confidence and self-image, these can have their root in long-established ways of thinking of themselves and situations. Conducting treatments at this level is a long-term endeavour.

Coming soon…

I’ll go into more detail on the types of healing and remedies I work with at Pendulum Presence as well as delving more into the details of healing sessions with animals.
